We frequently embalmed bodies to preserve the appearance of the deceased. Cremation was also an option. I was speaking more of the mourning that comes afterwards. I am not usually invited to such things, but the kind that includes liturgy and eulogy. The graveside services are also charming in their own way.

The longer one lives the more familiar they become with such things. My personal interest is something all together different. I don't expect many to share it.
