Couldn't go anywhere without being mixed up for one, sometimes they tried dragging me out to the Vale from it. Because the monsters also could've looked like me and Broca could with our lupo and feline features.
Most I did was knock people out for trying, that and my elevator comment was from me being in them twice. I was bruised up badly from getting thrown around.
(oh, that's half true and half a lie. turning into a werewolf did not do wonders for her already fluctuating mental state during that part of the month around the false moon....and did reopen her arm, but that was taken care of.)
Should be anyway, it wasn't anything I couldn't handle.
(sworn to secrecy on not talking about what happened in the smoked egg aside.)
Try not to be too surprised. I changed my suit more than it was a bit since September.
(as far as limits goes, cellinia did take advantage of it. not only did her suite turn into something that matched her taste (as far as her rank allows), but there was other nice touches. black and blue tones: a sort of noir gangster vibe fills the air and how cellinia stylized it. ex-gangster or not there's not really any changing that part of her own taste. there was even a setup she did with the projector to turn that into a rainy city evening over the default; dreary, dreadful, but relaxing to watch and listen to the piter-patter of them whenever cellinia takes that chance to get changed.
changed into one of her comfortable sweaters and jeans. by now she knows the weathers been changing or should be in a sense, suits were fine but she preferred her more casual wear too when given that chance. given weiss might be a bit? cellinia did get tea started and seems to still be unsurprisingly ignoring the bar in her room about as much as she is anything else she hadn't touched. the other not surprising part was that her radio is going in the background again.
that was her way of staying sane even if the current song is interesting for her. another of many that cellinia had taken to singing along to....and maybe her partially being glad nobody would catch her unless they're outside her door.)
Edited (found a better song immediately after x.x) Date: 2024-11-21 03:18 pm (UTC)
[ It takes about an hour until Weiss heads to Texas' suite since there were things she had to take care of first. A shower, dressing up, ordering food for them both... While the staff could just deliver the food straight to Texas' suite since they would do almost everything a royal would ask, Weiss opts for a more personal approach.
Weiss won't be able to hear the music coming from Texas' room until she's right in front of the door, and even then, the noise is muffled. She knocks anyway and makes herself known. ]
Cellinia, it's me.
[ In her hand is a bag with their foodβ vongole pasta and for dessert, tiramisu! She really likes the tiramisu from one of the shops at the mall, so she hopes to be able to share that with Texas. ]
(by now the music had changed to something more pop sounding; cellinia herself had taken the chance to bathe, do laundry, and get changed into something more appropriate for the season while also attempting to look nice for the visit. one of her nicer sweaters that she picked up and jeans. at the time before weiss had come knocking? she was making sure that the bandages on her right arm wasn't in need of changing before taking tylenol as they called it. something to help the aches she might get to a mild degree before tying her hair back within a high ponytail. a messy ponytail that reveals the reddish/pink undertones from her hair that were underneath.
it's only then that her ear twitches from catching that knock, she had the tea ready by then and poured out into cups on the table whenever after a brief minute longer cellinia opens the door into her suite. it looks much nicer than it was whenever she hadn't touched it in how it mixed a more relaxed vibe from her old lifestyle as a mafioso into a more comfortable style using the blue and black colors that fit suited her plenty. even that hologram of a rainy city night was better for her than just leaving it like before.)
Sorry about that, was making sure the tea was fine.
(both true and false, truth be told. maybe this might do her some good. she did look genuinely exhausted, but that's not even a surprise knowing that cellinia always struggled to talk about things pertaining to herself. a lot of it was more complicated than she'd like to admit.)
[ There's a small and courteous smile on her face when the door is opened, but once she gets a good look at Texas, her smile disappears. It isn't turned into worry, but she doesn't seem all that pleased to see the other woman looking so tired.
Still, it's a good thing that she checked on her. At least she can take care of her for the short while that she'll be here. And in case Texas would be open to it, she can stay at her spare bedroom. At least she'll have company in case she needs help, whether it's with medicines or anything else. ]
No need to apologise.
[ She steps in, her confidence bringing her all the way inside to where can set down the bag with their food in it. ]
Do your injuries have any side effects, or were you just hurt?
[ It's a strange question to ask, but she has to know. She'd gotten injuries from the crawlers before, and she subsequently got poisoned. The poison didn't make her horny or anything (fortunately), but she was hallucinating for some time and was even down with a fever. ]
(were weiss to express a desire to ensure that she's okay by having her stay over temporarily or vice versa, cellinia can't say that she'd be able to argue there. tiredness aside, she's been fine. fine enough that she's managing physically; mentally is another story after the recent round of events. there was a lot going on that she didn't speak about although that might be best left for later. explaining the things the false moon did to her would take forever, the way it kept it's claws around her mind. there's a lot of reminders there about her life from it. how much longer would she run away?
not from siracusa, that's something she buried no matter the label given to her that she keeps close. omertosa: silenced because of that way she once lived not being something cellinia enjoys talking about. nor the things that happened, patricide is certainly....a heavy subject to approach. as much as it made her think there's very little else she can do about it whenever cellinia takes a seat on the sofa. as another positive her bed is looking slept in from her own bedroom door being open, more than it had since the first month of her stay.)
No side effects. I know he apologized since he couldn't react quick enough and it's not like we expected hallway's full of monsters.
(then again, it's better weiss wasn't there. not to see what happened to her as the night carried on further; the way that it seeped into cellinia and did successfully force about a more permanent change until halloween was over. her body still aches from that, her arm included knowing it reopened already somewhat closed wounds from talons on her right arm.
getting caught by those flying bastards thanks to the harpies wasn't a fun experience, but she didn't want marco to get hurt at the time. he was trying to help those around them not by a loyalty, but by a desire to not let anyone else get hurt.)
I got asked to help with the people that were turned into monsters. Only reason I was doing it was because I know quite a few people can't fight out of the players....and go figure, they were disappointed that I didn't fuck the monsters.
[ He? She's assuming it's Broca since that's who she mentioned in her texts earlier. She'll have to check on him too after this, then. ]
Is this different from what you were talking about with the monsters in the basement and in the lobby?
[ Because wtf she can't imagine having to fight other guests who have turned into monsters. It'd be so awful to defend yourself against them and hurt them. ]
Basement was zombies, lobby was monsters due to the artificial moon they had around. I got paired up with one of the new wildcards at the time.
(luckily she's saving broca's ass from a misunderstanding, but, cellinia did reach to pour their glasses full tea wise at her table in the living room. she'll have to explain it even though she was trying to avoid that; unfortunate that she winced from her right arm around then yet it's not like weiss can't get any angrier if she's honest. maybe. that's what she's hoping for given her attempt at dodging the subject had fallen through.
plus keeping one of them out of trouble would be a better idea.)
Broca and me getting ambushed happened a couple days before that, he was fine, we just both were annoyed to get mixed up for being monsters.
(although she did swipe talismans off one of those poor mooks, a box of them that she has hidden. cellinia didn't quite need them necessarily as a weapon. not for anything specific. the thing is that having them would be useful for her to avoid using her arts, maybe also have other uses in this crazy resort knowing what may or may not be happening in the chaos.)
[ So basically she got in trouble twice, huh? Weiss can't help but feel bad about Texas' luck, but saying something about that would be rude, right? The wry smile on her face probably says it all though.
"You sure have a lot of bad luck..." ]
I'm glad that's all over then. [ Though it sounds like Texas is still stressed out about it... Weiss doesn't like drinking or wallowing her sorrows in alcohol, but a little wouldn't be so bad.
She lifts the bag again and waves it to get Texas to look at it. ]
How about we eat? After tea, maybe we can have a drink to take the stress away.
(no, she can tell by that smile alone. her luck is shitty. there's no way around that with or without sugarcoating. texas did keep unmentioned the third incident of the night, though. elevator ride into vampires being mad that a unclean mutt fell into the communal blood pool while having to impromptu rescue her new acquaintance. rin did swear her to secrecy after and cellinia is not in the business of spewing them, as befits that personality of hers.
normally alcohol isn't something texas thinks about. penguin logistics are known partiers, texas was often dragged into said parties but the issue is that there's a problem in her getting drunk. she is....disastrously a clingy drunk. if one wanted her to be receptive to attempts at affection, that was their best bet. getting her drunk past that siracusan alcohol tolerance into an amusing display.)
We can. Don't worry, I'm not much of a drinker in general even if my coworkers dragged me out to our work parties often....most of the time I got teased because I don't like sour or bitter drinks. Can't stand them, so I would get caught drinking sweet things like Tequila Lychee.
(that's also why her tea seems to be leaning on the sweet and aromatic side, too. she did seem curious on what's in the bag, although cellinia also considers that she has a bar. something that can be used another time were there to be a party thrown in her own suite....that is if they can talk her into that.
which shouldn't be hard, some people might have an easier time than others.)
Oh, don't worry, I'm not much of a drinker either.
[ The reasons why? She finds are a bit too personal, but she definitely may end up telling Cellinia about it later on once she's had a drink or so. Weiss is pretty tight-lipped about anything that is about herself, but may blab if she's in a good mood and has had some alcohol. ]
I just think it sounds like a good way to get rid of stress right now. Sweet drinks are also the ones I prefer. I think we have similar tastes.
[ For now, she sets the bag down and finally removes its contents, the pasta and the tiramisu! Sadly, she doesn't have any plates, but the restaurant at least gave Weiss some disposable forks to use. ]
I'd say this is all a weird combination, but I don't mind it all. Do you have plates we can use? I didn't ask for disposable ones from the restaurant. Sorry.
True. Whenever I was at home my boss would have us end the night off with parties, most of the time I didn't go too hard but I did participate.
(alcohol is fine enough, whenever cellinia spots weiss didn't have plates she gets up from the couch and saunters off towards her nearby kitchen. Thankfully she had plenty of them, getting stocked up was a must and she preferred to keep things nice and ready for in the event she has guests. she might be a loner in a lot of the ways yet company was something she never hated; if anything it helped distract her while she steps back into the living room with a few plates gathered up. she set them about the table for both sides while also bringing back water for when they do start drinking.
she's not an alcoholic, but she's had her fair share of hangovers that were terrible. it's best to keep some close-by in any case, the tiramisu and pasta isn't something she minds on terms of combos. there was worse done in terra and normally it varied on whether it was good or not; not that cellinia is an amazing cook but she did know her way around the kitchen enough to avoid eating out consistently.)
Don't worry about it, I mentioned it before to people but nothing beats the chocolate pasta sauce a celebrity chef made back in my second home. Long story short, he got exiled and near caused a diplomatic incident after moving to another country over it.
(then again, cellinia also would have made a face more if this was pineapple on pizza. like any warm blooded italian (siracusan in this case) she would have been offended. columbian by birth or not, her blood is still the same as her fellow countrymen who she left behind so long ago. men and women who would label her nasty things while under the impression she brought anything upon herself; all over one terrible deed that she would not wish upon others.
one she hasn't talked about no matter the way that moon sunk its claws in her, that demand to speak it out. to say it. that her terrible secret is one of the worst anyone could ever do. killing her father.)
[ Yeah, she's definitely dumbfounded. Did she just hear Texas right? ]
Chocolate pasta sauce? That sounds... [ She tries to figure out if Texas likes the idea or not, but from the other woman's usual vibes, she isn't picking up on hate or absolute vehemence. It might be offensive if Weiss straight up called it "gross" so she tones it down a notch. ] Unique.
[ Fortunately, seafood and tiramisu? Not quite as "gross"! Weiss sits down once the plates are on the table, serving herself a bit of the pasta from the takeout container. Texas has got about a serving and a half left in there, since Weiss doesn't eat a lot. ]
How much do you think you'll have? I'll put the food on your plate.
Don't worry, you can say it's gross. I even think that and I'll actually eat fruit on my pizza as long as it's an actual working combo. Not pineapple, though. I'm meaning more like apples and berries.
(she's honest, that counts for something. even if said honesty is likely making her father and grandfather turn in their graves at the knowledge cellinia eats fruit on pizza. traitor to her country, well, second country. she's not necessarily minding the idea much while she takes a sip of her tea from her seat. there's a lot she could go on about from terra. the chocolate pasta sauce aside there's always stranger food that people eat and indulge in.
or if someone was the doctor, boiling ramen in their mouth at 4 am counting as unique in itself, too. she'll refrain from letting weiss suffer that mental image unless she's curious.)
If my padre, father sorry, and nonno....grandpa were alive to hear me say that by the way they would have disowned me.
(she's. joking. maybe, that's always harder to tell with cellinia yet she wasn't serious. she can still make them every now and then while also thinking this over on how much she'd want. since there'll be leftovers she can take half of that remaining serving. pasta and tiramisu isn't as bad as outlandish culinary practices while cellinia makes sure the plates are within reach for them both at any point.)
I'll take half. I'm curious anyway about how similar the food is to my other home country anyway, Siracusan food can be unique.
[ She lets out a soft laugh when Texas says that it's okay to call it gross. She still won't say it, but it is pretty funny. It's good to know that Texas thinks it's gross, too, and that is more than enough. ]
I can't say I've had food with apples and berries before, unless you count salads? [ But that doesn't sound gross at all! Weiss actually does love apples and berries! ] Maybe we can find a dish with those sometime.
Padreβ [ More from her native tongue, eh? She blinks curiously. ] Why would they disown you?
[ Sounds serious... Weiss unfortunately can't tell that Texas is joking about it. She's surprised, and yet again watches her words and actions in case she might make her friend upset. It's why she puts some pasta on Texas' plate carefully, even prettying up the presentation of the pasta in a neat little circle in the centre of the plate. ]
Sometimes it can be interesting, fruit pizza is more a dessert from my birth country....I don't think other Siracusan's would like it.
(cookie dough and fruity toppings, that was only two things to go with it. texas did, however, not seem that surprised weiss enjoys salads. the wolf has a feeling that were anyone still alive from her own familiga that they would have been asking her to eat more than this. food is a part of their culture, and they are passionate about their cooking, passionate about most things in life that gave them pleasure. that even made them feel their happiest. cellinia? she does have few things that give her similar enjoyment, perhaps not food (she was never a big chef, but she tries) yet something else.
a more dangerous pastime in how she would do street races, speeds always been her game and there's no changing that even now. the question is something she near misses, for a moment texas snorts because it seems that her poker face has caused a misunderstanding. she wasn't going to be genuinely disowned from her familiga. god forbid that happen next had this still been like back then.)
I was kidding. Sort of, Siracusan's are big on food and it being the way they made it, or cooked things. It's why you'll see Broca and me judge over pineapple on pizza, even if I did try it before.
(at least she's honest? then again, texas mainly disliked it when people were too vocal about it being the best. in the sense of it being that they were trying to provoke others from the country, or were born into the familige as top dogs themselves in another one like texas. once weiss gets her plate full, texas takes it and her fork to try it. bundling up the pasta with a practiced ease from back then before taking it in her mouth with a hum of approval.)
What kind of sauce does it have? Hopefully not red sauce.
[ Because... eugh that just sounds so weird. Maybe she's thinking of the savoury kind of pizza little too much that she can't use her imagination for a dessert kind of pie. ]
I see. [ Not quite, but she's starting to get a better picture here. ] Are there humans where you're from? Or is everyone Siracusan?
[ She can't help but be curious, if only because she's reminded of her friend Blake all the more. Blake is quiet, but very particular about things. She especially was very particular about seafood. ]

Date: 2024-12-18 02:37 pm (UTC)(she's honest, that counts for something. even if said honesty is likely making her father and grandfather turn in their graves at the knowledge cellinia eats fruit on pizza. traitor to her country, well, second country. she's not necessarily minding the idea much while she takes a sip of her tea from her seat. there's a lot she could go on about from terra. the chocolate pasta sauce aside there's always stranger food that people eat and indulge in.
or if someone was the doctor, boiling ramen in their mouth at 4 am counting as unique in itself, too. she'll refrain from letting weiss suffer that mental image unless she's curious.)

Date: 2024-12-20 02:04 pm (UTC)I can't say I've had food with apples and berries before, unless you count salads? [ But that doesn't sound gross at all! Weiss actually does love apples and berries! ] Maybe we can find a dish with those sometime.
Padreβ [ More from her native tongue, eh? She blinks curiously. ] Why would they disown you?
[ Sounds serious... Weiss unfortunately can't tell that Texas is joking about it. She's surprised, and yet again watches her words and actions in case she might make her friend upset. It's why she puts some pasta on Texas' plate carefully, even prettying up the presentation of the pasta in a neat little circle in the centre of the plate. ]
There you are. I hope you like it.

Date: 2024-12-20 07:31 pm (UTC)(cookie dough and fruity toppings, that was only two things to go with it. texas did, however, not seem that surprised weiss enjoys salads. the wolf has a feeling that were anyone still alive from her own familiga that they would have been asking her to eat more than this. food is a part of their culture, and they are passionate about their cooking, passionate about most things in life that gave them pleasure. that even made them feel their happiest. cellinia? she does have few things that give her similar enjoyment, perhaps not food (she was never a big chef, but she tries) yet something else.
a more dangerous pastime in how she would do street races, speeds always been her game and there's no changing that even now. the question is something she near misses, for a moment texas snorts because it seems that her poker face has caused a misunderstanding. she wasn't going to be genuinely disowned from her familiga. god forbid that happen next had this still been like back then.)
It's good.

Date: 2024-12-21 02:02 pm (UTC)[ Because... eugh that just sounds so weird.
I'm glad. I chose a good dish, then.
