(good thing too, she might have not been fazed by questions about them, but sometimes people could be rude without meaning to be when it comes to such things. foreign to them or not. the fluff of her ears sticks out, calm and casual, with a hint of smoke hanging off her scent. she must have had a cigarette earlier, likely to get it out of the way first to make sure that her suit mark wasn't about to press into her vices again.
not everyone likes it when someone smokes, so she tries to be courteous given that she also attempts to maintain something of a healthy balance in it and limiting herself as a means of quitting. too bad she has yet, especially here where it feeds into those vices.
anyway, she asked the million lungmen dollar question, it's only fair to figure it out from there where to go first. their best bet is to go around the nest, get the shops out of the way before finding somewhere to settle at for a meal. she does have that list of safe places by this point that someone made, so it should be fine to change up her usual and eat somewhere that wasn't the red cardinal. she does have the chips to spare, so why not have some fun before spending them on christmas gifts? she did have a few people in mind to shop for and seems like stelle might be added to the list.
something she'll mull over more later.)
The Nest first. After that we can find somewhere nice to eat at since it'll take a bit.
(going from there is their best bet, weiss did this for her after she found herself in the resort and almost was auctioned off to freaks in the crowd. any other learning came from her exploring around, broca's suggestions were nice after they spoke, and she wasn't about to waste the opportunity to at least distract herself at the time.
time really does fly, she muses, since she's been here for over a year before making her way toward the elevator. she didn't mind stelle was bad at small talk, if anything the wolf is equally bad, but the silence is more comfortable than awkward from her being reserved.)
It's going to have a lot of sexual innuendo as a warning, depending on the shops. I've had to deal with that for wanting something as simple as ice cream too often.
{ ooc: someday, I won't blink and weeks won't be gone with no explanation. I'm so sorry I'm dragging ass. }
[ As much as Stelle is a Trailblazer, someone who has dedicated her life to learning about new places and offering what of herself that she can to improve them... this Resort sure is asking a lot. That doesn't mean Stelle doesn't want to understand, however. She does. She's even giving her best shot at trying to make sense of the expectations and fulfill them. Within reason. ]
Sounds great! There are so many shops, I barely knew where to begin.
[ She's not exactly broke, but she's also under the impression this place would rather everyone just stay naked, with the cost of some of the clothes...
She hums, a little amused, a little thoughtful. ]
I may have noticed... If it's not innuendos it's bird puns, isn't it. I'm not sure which is worse.
[ It's definitely the innuendo, if only because the bird puns don't seem to have to stretch quite so far to still make sense.
The elevators are always An Experience, themselves. ]
Haunted as fudge. [ under her breath, and very much to herself, once they disembark. ]
(such is the life of a trailblazer, then again, such is the life of someone like texas who has dealt with multiple brands of oddities in her own life. nothing mentioned, if only because she saw little reason to do that. she does hate the resort, the house, and how they seem pleased to use people among the many positives about dealing with her as having a more....normal, presence in someone's life.
somewhat. she's not that normal, but texas tries while listening along. she can understand that too, not knowing if the shitty bird puns were worse or if the innuendo was. the bird puns were something texas became desensitized to gradually, but they did have a small break from those once.)
We had them swap from bird puns to puns about the ocean during summer. So I'd say that it's the puns, especially if they're doing dirty innuendo filled puns.
(honestly, she rather take exusiai's puns than anything that the golden peacock does. not that hers were any better, but she at least would laugh at them rarely whenever they came up or smile slightly. mostly smile slightly, laughter was reserved for when she was alone. nothing personal, it was simply how texas is with not really displaying certain things around others with ease.
an ear twitches right as she catches that, haunted, huh? oh, she might have had a story for her about what happened last halloween if it weren't for her being sworn to secrecy. rin had her promise that after what happened....and it wouldn't be texas if she went around blabbing to others about secrets people want kept. especially if she happened to have been the one to see said things they did not want outed to others.)
You know, I barely trust the elevators. Not after my last few experiences in them.
(none of them good, but this one seemed oddly normal. no strange scents, no being thrown around like a pair of dolls thanks to the ghosts within. it's funny. maybe they'll have a normal experience instead of a resort flavored one?
