I'll steer clear of the tower for the sake of not allowing myself to speed up any other corruption. I can't say that I like this, it's gotten delicate to the point we need to figure out something. Pneuma if it does somehow have enough space for the city has another thing I'm concerned about. We don't know if that hidden Patho-Gen faction runs the show there.
....and the fact that some of us are suffering from larger corruption symptoms isn't a good thing, either.

No, it's not good. I'll speak to Jayce and the science group about seeing if we can better understand why certain people are advancing in their corruption. But something similar happened to someone else I know. Months ago, he stayed outside the barrier on his own for too long and developed growths.
They can be removed, thankfully, and treated. But too much exposure... It could be permanent.
(at the cost of their own people? it makes her sick, it infuriates her greatly. they don't deserve this, the people who did nothing themselves that can be considered wrong. only tried their best to live in this horrific time, this terrible place.)
Alright. I wasn't that foolish to wander out the barrier for too long typically, but I'm going to consider that a good thing based off this. I'm not looking forward to discovering if we got some manner of fucked up changes heading our way thanks to the Katalyth exposure chances going up.
Later I'll go over anything else that we need, rough times are ahead and we better take all the chances we can get for our sakes and others.
It wouldn't shock me. If the barrier goes down even in that small area for very long, we also don't know how it will affect the rest of the city.

But I agree with you: we should prepare now and get what's necessary. I'll mention it to some others, that we should be guarded for the worst. Patho-Gen thus far has just wanted us to remove Katalyth in the field, but clearly that's not enough...and can't be their true goal for us.

We should also be prepared for the possibility that the citizens didn't know what the barrier was made of. I imagine they were aware. But if they weren't, their attitudes will likely not be kind.
Mm, back home there was something called Catastrophes. Cities were destroyed because of them, and the land would take time to heal from the destruction. Because of this, they had to shift into something called landships, moving cities, as a means of avoiding the constant destruction.
The problem is predicting them was difficult, and the mineral rain it brought down came with the chance of infecting others with a terminal disease. I hope this isn't that similar.
(not to mention that oripathy slowly and painfully kills those infected with it.)
With the amount of Katalyth that has to be needed to keep the barrier running, one of this scale, we're not finding nearly enough to maintain it. So if it isn't for that, what else can it be for? Their true goal might be something worse.

It didn't seem like some knew, they were more surprised. Not that I'd even be surprised if Patho-Gen hid from the civilians what the barrier is made of.
[ That wouldn't be such a bad idea, actually, if one could be made. The problem is that Karteria's population is so large that she doesn't know that they could make enough of something like that. A shame, too, as it could be feasible. But when there are only so many islands and only so many ways of movement... ]
I don't know that they'd go and touch the Katalyth once it's been in place in the barrier, but perhaps they've had to in order to hide touch-ups. I heard that Katalyth was used on other Augmented when they were captured; likely, some of what we found has ended up in Pneuma.
I wouldn't be surprised at how much the citizenry is in the dark, but presumably they would have seen the construction of the barrier. Some of them, at any rate.
